ok so my wife thought i lost my mind spending this much on a TENT. set it up on the f150 in like 8 minutes, first night out near moab we got hit with a nasty wind storm and the thing did not move an inch. she's now planning our entire summer around it lol. zero regrets.
Two kids, one dog, and we are FINALLY off the ground. My 6 year old calls it the treehouse and refuses to sleep anywhere else now. Roomy, warm, and I don't have to fight with poles in the dark. Pricey yes but after two trips it's already earned its keep.
bought it for the rooftop tent. did NOT expect the water conversion to be legit. took it out on the lake at the cabin and paddled around for an hour while my buddies lost their minds. is it gonna replace a real canoe? no. is it ridiculous fun? absolutely.
Love the actual product — build quality is honestly nicer than I expected at this price. BUT it took about 16 days to show up and the tracking was vague for a while which stressed me out. Emailed support and they replied next morning which helped a lot. Docking one star for the wait, would still buy again.
my last tent (won't name names but it rhymes with 'shmenzo') blew a zipper in ONE season. the lifetime warranty is the whole reason i went with these guys instead. 6 months of weekend abuse so far and it still looks new. we'll see how it holds up long term but so far i'm a believer.
we camp in the high country a fair bit and being up off the cold ground is a whole different world. the insulated floor is no joke. setup really does only take a few mins. only thing — the printed instructions could be clearer for first timers, i ended up just watching their youtube vid and then it was easy.
old tent: 40 mins, two people, marriage tested every time. this one: pump it, pop the poles, done in 5 solo. already told my whole overland group and a couple of them have ordered. it's just that good.
Right, it is NOT light — took both of us to heave it onto the roof bars the first time and that was a bit of a faff. Once it's up there though? Solid as a house. We've had it out in proper Welsh rain and stayed bone dry inside. Just go in knowing about the weight and you'll be chuffed.
